About Der Koloss
Der Koloss is a free, fan-made first-person zombie survival game inspired by Der Riese. Begin with a sidearm and 500 points, defend barricades, and unlock the factory as increasingly dangerous rounds arrive.
The original site describes wall weapons, a Mystery Box, perks, power, teleporters and Pack-a-Punch upgrades. Play solo or create a private online lobby for up to four players. The game requires a desktop browser, keyboard and mouse.
How to play
- Choose Solo to deploy alone, or host a lobby and share its code or invite link with friends.
- Click into the battlefield to capture the pointer. Use WASD to move and the mouse to look; Shift sprints, Space jumps and C crouches.
- Left-click to fire, use the right mouse button or E to aim, and press R to reload. Select or swap weapons with 1, 2 or Q.
- Press F to buy, rebuild barricades, revive teammates or interact with factory systems. V uses the knife and G throws a grenade.
- Earn points and open rooms while surviving successive rounds. Find the power switch and use the factory upgrades described in the field manual.
- Press Escape to pause or release the pointer; Tab displays the scoreboard.
A few things to know
Will it work on my phone?
Touch controls are not supported, so playing on a phone may be difficult.
Does it cost anything to play?
You can play for free. Any optional purchases are listed by the game itself.
Can I play with other people?
Yes, multiplayer is supported. Open the game to see the available ways to play together.
